    About Stena Line Ports Liepājas SEZ

    Stena Line has completed the acquisition of the terminal operator Terrabalt in Liepaja, Latvia in January 2026 and officially taken over RoRo, Bulk and General cargo operations. 

    Stena Line Ports Liepājas SEZ SIA is part of the Stena Line Ports and Terminals group - alongside Stena Line Ports Ventspils. This is an important step in strengthening our Baltic gateway and creating a complementary terminal network that serves your supply chains even better.

    The route from Travemünde to Liepāja takes ~21,5 hours. Stena Line operates the Skandinavienkai terminal in Travemünde, one of the largest RoRo and ferry ports in Europe. Travemünde has excellent hinterland connections with efficient intermodal services and four lane motorways to Hamburg and  Benelux region.

The integrated rail infrastructure supports efficient cargo transfers between vessels, rail wagons, and road transport, ensuring smooth operations and operational flexibility.

    We offer secure and flexible closed storage facilities 2,300 m² designed to protect cargo from weather exposure while ensuring safe and efficient handling. The covered warehouses are suitable for a wide range of cargo types, including general, project, and high‑value goods, and can be seamlessly integrated into port handling and distribution operations.

    Stena Line Ports Liepājas SEZ is part of the Stena Line Ports and Terminals group, together with Stena Line Ports Ventspils, strengthening our Baltic gateway and creating a complementary terminal network to better support your supply chains. The ice‑free, multi‑purpose terminal covers 10 hectares and offers three berths with depths of up to 9.5 meters, extensive open storage, temperature‑controlled power connections, and seamless sea, rail, and road access.
